One of the easiest ways to raise money is to participate in our letter writing campaign. Just fill out the names and addresses of your friends and relatives and we will do the rest!

You should also talk to your Morale Captain about fundraising! Your Captain has lots of ideas and will be happy to help you out.

Team/Individual Fundraisers:

• Wristband Fundraiser- Sell customized silicon bracelets so dancers can show off their DM spirit before DM! Most groups sell theirs for $2 each with profits of 50% or more. If you need help ordering them, feel free to ask one of your Fundraising Chairs!
• Keep it or Lose it- Find a school teacher or principal willing to shave their head for your fundraiser! Have them find sponsors who are willing to donate money in return for shaving their head. Check with local organizations or beauty salons about the requirements for donations.
• Powder Puff Tournament- Sororities on many campuses organize an annual Powder Puff football tournament with each player required to raise a certain amount in pledges. Talk to the intramural teams about organizing a tournament! Or a competition between floors in your dorm!
• Seeing Stars (Movie Night)- Talk to your RA or RCD about renting or borrowing a projector and a projector screen for your common room. Charge three or four dollars per person and provide popcorn and candy!
• Services for a Fee!- Do your dorm’s laundry for a fee!
• Hot dog eating contest- Have a dorm competition!

• Knit and sell scarves
• Sell homemade cards
• Become a personal chef
• Throw a dinner party with a $5 cover
• Have a Rock Band/Guitar Hero Tournament
• Car washes
• Bake sales (commercial goods)
• Phonathons (at the Alumni House)
• Canning (sign up with the help of your Morale Captain)
• Attend and sign in at general Dance Marathon fundraising events
• Psychology Experiments (usually for $10/hour)
• Raking/Cleaning/Odd jobs in local neighborhoods
